As a side project to go alongside Crow, I will do my best to keep you in the loop about certain facets of this particular novel. While it is not something I have done before, all I can do is hope it is enlightening. To begin with, I would like to delve into the inspiration … Continue reading Behind the Book: Crow And Genre

Crow: Under Surveillance
There is not really much I can say that will make my writing seem more than it is. I feel my words here do not have the same sting as what I do each and every day in my novels. That is where the true effect of my writing comes forth. Every word I write provides more and more meaning to my novels and continues to build on the thought process I use to write. I do not find any difficulty in what I do these days, because I am so used to the pressure of forcing myself to write, that I have managed to ingrain my standards into everything I do. Let me hope I can keep it up.
Crow: Breaking and Entering
I will come right out and say it: Crow is my favourite novel to work on right now. I think a lot of that is down to how different it is compared to what I am used to doing. I stated last week that relationship drama is not a focal point of the novel and I intend to stick by that. What makes Crow work as a novel is the conflict between Ashley Hudson and Crow Enterprises.
Crow: I Swear I Had A Word Limit
The word count for this week tells the entire story of my work for today. I don't understand what tempted me to write so much, but it felt good to get it all out. I think I got so caught up in the drama that I didn't care about sticking to my plan. I see it as a good thing as opposed to a bad thing. I didn't raise the bar for next week, but I did afford myself a lot of new material to build off of.
Crow – Chapter One & Chapter Two
The second installment of my week of samples comes courtesy of the inimitable Crow. While shorter than the sample of Ascension, the purpose is the same. The two chapters set up the basics of the world and the strange open leaves the reader wanting more. Enjoy 🙂

"I don't write for any kind of monetary gain or public notice. I write for the thrill of it. I write everything I do for the audience."
