Updates, Updates, Updates!

I don’t do these updates as often as I used, but that is a good thing. It’s allowed me to consider things more carefully and I find myself less rushed as it pertains to my writing. But I do bring good news for at least three of my projects currently in the works. So, I won’t delay, and jump right into that.

Crow

As far as Crow is concerned, the novel as a whole is 100% completed. I am struggling to find things to edit in it, and the things I do need to edit are difficult to convince myself into changing what needs to be changed. I fully expect this to stick right in with my previous release and I will release Crow come October 26th, 2019. But I can’t leave you with nothing – so here is the majority of the book description that will be present on the Amazon Store page for it:

“Isabelle Ramirez does not believe the police report that the death of her brother was an accident. So, she goes outside the loop and enlists the help of the very unorthodox Ashley Hudson to get to the bottom of the whole scenario. From a simple spark, Ashley uncovers the twisted and complex machinations of an enigmatic company – Crow Enterprises. And no matter what she does, they always seem to be two steps ahead of her. It will take a great deal of cunning to overcome this foe. But Ashley has her own dark secrets. On the surface, she is a law-abiding, church-going, God-worshipping lady, as her parents raised her. Yet, monsters hide in plain sight and when two unstoppable forces collide, who will come out on top?”

Tradition dictates that history is usually written by the winners. That whoever rules after all is said and done has control over the truth. We like to portray these people as heroes, yet no one ever talks about the story of the villain. Of the person who failed to overcome the odds. Why do we portray them as villains? Simple – we need a scapegoat.

Crow is a unique story in that it takes a simple principle many people know yet take for granted. That is: “You either die or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.” It is the driving force behind this novel, because everyone is the hero of their own story.

And this story starts about as mundane as a stock noir novel. And that is about it. The reader will experience the same journey as focus character Ashley Hudson and the steps that lead her down the slippery slope to outright villainy.

Crusader

This is definitely my newest project. As such, almost no information exists about it, but the first chapter is approximately 20% completed, though that does not factor in additional information I am yet to add. It is something I intend to release as a semi-frequent serial until completion. That means, come November 30, 2019, the first chapter will go live right here on my blog! Then, hopefully a new chapter will come every two months.

The Elder Ones Part 2: Earth Splitter

The second book in the Elder Ones series has seen a lot of work in the past three months, though not as much as it should have, but for good reason. The novel itself is my most ambitious undertaking yet in terms of length and complexity and, even though the world and characters are largely set in stone, there are so many stories that it makes it difficult to ensure they remain distinct from each other. As it happens, I am working on integrating long-standing ideas into the universe, mostly by planting the seeds for future novels. Whilst the entire book is only around 60% completed, I have already set the release date for October 26th, 2020. I may or may not attach a roadmap for it at some point, just to keep people in the know with the progress I am making on it.

Thanks for stopping by. Stay inspired, stay creative, and follow your dreams.
