Reality: MAGA or, Rise of a Psychopath

  • Overview

There was no real challenge to write Reality this week. I was at a point I planned for quite some time so the words came with relative ease to me. It helped that I took an unfortunate and unplanned nap before I started writing. My nap was the result of me spending the first five hours of my day gardening. There is something therapeutic about working with plants and it affords me a lot of time to think.

While that might seem off-track, the relaxation of my mind helped me focus my thoughts on the sequences for today. I know I can write crazy and almost every main character in my books is some form of insane. I’ve never written a true psychopathic individual who uses a façade to hide the truth of what they are.

  • What I Did Today

Today was the unwrapping of Max Taylor as a person and helping the reader understand what goes on in his mind. The chapter focused on him now is quite different to the previous three written from his voice. There is less attention drawn to his rehabilitation from the accident and more on how his mind works. It is a complex character building for Max Taylor and it is fascinating to see how it all develops.

  • The Best Sample From Today

The best sample for today is in no way a representation of any of my views of females. In fact, today’s best sample takes influence from one of the most prominent figures in today’s world – President Donald Trump. I invoke the same general vibe that Trump exudes when it comes to not only females but to his own inflated sense of self.

I did not pay attention to any word she said. I was busy opening my social media messaging to find a specific name. Right at the top is where I found what I was after. Max Parker. The name of an angel. Not a smart angel though. She forgot to turn off her location data for her messages. My body flushed with heat as I laid eyes on the pair of images she sent me. Though she had clothes on, there was nothing to halt my imagination. I could feel my hands running along her thighs and her wide hips. Her supple breasts would jiggle around as I groped them. I would not care if she did not want me to touch. The second I lay eyes on those images, I knew that Max Parker wanted someone like me to take advantage of her innocence. I salivated a little as I pored over Miss Parker’s body. Every inch was perfect to me. It took Tessa snapping her fingers in my ear to break me out of my funk.

The whole sequence is pretty much a crude rendition of what the mindset of a degraded male is like. I will say I have met several people like Max Taylor in this sequence and they are not pleasant people to be around. It takes a lot for me not to delete everything I wrote today as it goes against all my morals. I do not do that as it is fantastic writing, and I live for fantastic writing.

  • How Productive I Felt I Was

Since I need to build toward the final sequences of the novel as I have around 12 weeks(!) of dedicated writing left to do, I have to build ever closer to the climax and the confrontation between Max Parker and Max Taylor.

I achieved a lot not only with my writing today, but in real life. Both parts of today contributed to the excellent work I felt I did today, but I do not want to inflate my sense of self to Max Taylor levels. I will always remain humble but I am excited to start wrapping up Reality in a neat little bow.

  • What I Intend To Write Next Week

Next week is the first time that Max Parker and Max Taylor meet face to face for the first time. It will be a tense week and I hope that the immense amount of work I have done so far will begin to pay off. Every week makes me proud I decided to continue working on Reality.
